Thanksgiving is a holiday I've desperately wanted to celebrate for some years now. Every November, leading up to that last Thursday, I was determined to make it happen. But being Australian, it was easily forgotten and always ended up receiving a mere acknowledgement rather than the party it really deserves.
Why am I so adamant that Thanksgiving should be celebrated in Australia? Because being thankful is important. And celebrating thankfulness together is something really beautiful.
That, and the excuse to eat pumpkin pie, my fav.
So when a new friend invited me to her Friendsgiving party (see definition here) I literally squealed with excitement.
Of course, being summer, it wasn't your traditional Thanksgiving, but a lovely night under the stars, chatting, eating delicious food, and appreciating each other's company.
Here's a short video, and a few snaps. Just for fun!
